Snapz Pro X is not fully compatible with Yosemite

Ambrosia Audio Support Missing
Capturing mac audio using Snapz Pro X 2.5.2 or 2.5.4 does not appear to be supported using Yosemite (OS X 10.10). When I select the check box associated with mac audio that appears during setup, the software program immediately displays a popup window stating that Ambrosia Audio Support is missing. After I install the requested software and reboot my computer, I still get the same error message. I didn’t have this issue running Snapz Pro on Mavericks (OS X 10.9).

In researching a solution to this problem, I checked Ambrosia Software’s forum page and found that the developers are aware that the current release of Snapz Pro X is not fully compatible with Yosemite and are on working on an update. The company is hopeful that a bug fix will be made available within a few weeks, though there are no guarantees about the timeframe.

It is now late march, and the software still does not work. For many years I have supported Ambrosia and their products, and this is the first time I am sadly, sadly disappointed in their technical expertise.

Requested and was provided the beta 2.06 from Ambrosia help site.
I’ve successfully loaded It on 2 machines & does fix the Mac Audio issue.

To use Wiretape studio with Yosemite, just install a small software Siphon Sound. The free version is sufficient.
You select the “Siphon Sound” preferences / sound.

After upgrading to Yosemite on Mac, I can only take screen shots with Snapz Pro. Last month I purchased Snapz Pro x for another computer. Ambrosia took my money and never sent me the software. They won’t answer the phone or reply to e-mails. Has anyone else had these types of issues with them?

Aside from filing a formal complaint with the FTC or Better Business Bureau, I would also look into Camtasia for Mac which others have raved about as a better software program than Snapz Pro X. The single license fee for Camtasia is $99 but you can download and try the product for free for 30 days.
