Soundtrack Pro 2 hangs on start-up

Ran into a situation this morning when my copy of Soundtrack Pro 2 froze on the logo splash screen. This happened a couple of times. I opened Console in the Utilities folder and noted the following entries:

2/28/10 9:48:27 AM [0x0-0x186186].com.apple.soundtrackpro[10287] Sun Feb 28 09:48:27 Soundtrack Pro[10287] : CGSResolveShmemReference : reference offset (40624) exceeds bounds (32768) on shmem obj 0x8156

2/28/10 9:48:27 AM [0x0-0x186186].com.apple.soundtrackpro[10287] CGSNewWindow: failed with error 1000.

2/28/10 9:47:07 AM Soundtrack Pro[10257] Exception raised during posting of notification. Ignored. exception: ‘Error (1000) creating CGSWindow’ invoked observer method: ‘*** -[LoopAppController applicationDidFinishLaunching:]’ observer: 0xfd7de0 notification name: ‘NSApplicationDidFinishLaunchingNotification’

Deleting Soundtrack Pro’s property list file (com.apple.soundtrackpro.plist) from my Library folder did not resolve matters. I then reinstalled the OS X 10.5.8 combo updater and restarted my Mac. Afterward, Soundtrack Pro started up normally.
