Missing data in PDF document

From today’s mail bag:

A colleague sent me an invoice as a PDF attachment to an email. It was generated on a Mac, which is what I have. So strange: While the grid (lines) and logo in which she created the invoice show up, the rest of the document is blank. Any ideas as to what went wrong and how to fix this?

  1. Find out the name of the software she used to create the PDF invoice and what program (e.g., Entourage or Mail.app) she used to email it to you. A common technique is to use OS X’s Print…Save as PDF function to create the PDF. Another possibility is that she has Adobe Acrobat Professional and used that program to create the PDF.

I assume the invoice looks and prints like a normal document on her computer. I suggest having her regenerate the invoice on her Mac using Print…Save as PDF and resend that version to you.
