Does Final Cut Pro do audio time remapping?

From today’s mail bag:

I am trying to slow down, and then reverse an audio clip.  I can’t seem to get the time remapping function to work on the audio — it seems to be a video function.  Am I missing something?

  1. Control-click the audio clip in your FCP sequence to bring up a drop-down menu list. Select Send to->Soundtrack Pro Audio File Project and use SP’s TimeStretch tool under the Process menu to change the speed of a clip. The Process menu also has a menu option called Reverse.

  2. MT

I am using .aiff file, but it doesn’t give me the option to select Soundtrack Pro AUdio File. Only Pro Multitrack and Pro Script. Any ideas?
