Note: If you have several .hds packages inside the .hdd file, you need to merge them:
- start Parallels Image Tool,
- select “Manage Disk Properties” option,
- specify path to .hdd file and select “Merge virtual hard disk parts”. This will take some time to complete.

Ignore the other instructions in the same article that describe how to use Parallels Image Tool to convert a Parallels VM hard disk image to an OS X disk image (.dmg). Also, it is vitally important to make a backup copies of your Parallels .hdd files before merging multiple .hds packages.
